Interestingly, what we get is an elliptical caustic curve that shares the same foci as the elliptical table, and so these are confocal ellipses. The ellipse is then the locus of all points such that the sum of the distances from these two foci is always a constant. You can also get two points if you hit the red and the other cue ball at the same time. Winning Hazard: You pot the red ball to get three points. In this document. we focus specifically on the conventional "pin tumbler" lock, which is the most common commercial and residential design used in the United States.
