If you're on a budget and don't need a stroller that can double as car seat carriers The Babyzen Yoyo is a good choice. It comes with a simple one-step foot brake that's flip-flop user-friendly.

It's easy to push and it feels solid when you are traversing kerbs and woodland trails. It's also a breeze to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a name as the ultimate light-weight single buggy for sale for jet-setters and city dwellers alike, due to its super nimble manoeuvrability and fold that fits in aeroplane overhead luggage. The most recent version comes with independent suspension on all 4 wheels comprised of Hytrel elastomer, which allows it to effortlessly navigate all terrains and types'.

The bent fabric bassinet, the base YOYO2 and the 6months of colour pack are combined to create a sleek pushchair with a subtle elegant look. The base frame weighs less than a kilogram, and is so light it is able to be lifted from the box with just one hand.

The hood, for example, snaps on the YOYO2 in a calm way. It is machine washable up to 30 degrees which helps prevent staining caused by smushed and mashed carrot puffs and rice cakes. The Newborn Pack and bassinet can be used from birth as prams. It could also be converted into a stroller after 6 months using the YOYO connect other chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

Evenflo Pivot Xplore stroller wagon is a great option for parents looking for a versatile stroller. It transforms from a stroller to a wagon just by flipping the handle, meaning parents can pick the option they want to use on their adventure. The wagon can hold two or more children from 6 months up to 5 years old, and it has a wide storage basket that can accommodate everything you need on the go.

The Xplore comes with two canopy options that are able to rotate from front to back, ensuring adequate sun protection for all family members. It also has a footwell, which is not as deep or wide as other wagons, which means it may not be suitable for longer excursions or for napping.

The frame of the Xplore wagon is solid and sturdy, however, it isn't able to bend as much as other wagons we tried. It is also more difficult to fold than many of the competitors and it doesn't lock tightly when folded. It is easy to move however, and it can fit through narrow doors of 28 inches.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great choice for parents who are looking for a secondary stroller that is affordable. It scored well in our Strollers and Multiples Test for its weight and folded dimensions. This means it's lightweight and compact when folded and easy to lift and store into a car trunk. It also comes with a multi-position reclining seat and an adult cup holder. Other key features include 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels and two large storage bags that hang from the ceiling.

In our test of push and turn, it did better than the majority of other strollers of a similar price we tested, but it's still not the most comfortable to maneuver over uneven ground or through doorways that are narrow. Its sunshades were among the smallest strollers we tested. They only cover the top of the stroller and do not feature peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have significantly larger canopy sizes.

The Delta took us just under 3 minutes to put together with an average manual and no components required tools. But, it's lacking some essential features that we believe you should consider non-negotiable in a double stroller, such as an extra-large basket and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi's latest pushchair and is marketed as an urban travel system. It is designed to carry babies from birth to approximately 3.5 years old, and can be converted between a seat and a carrycot with a few clicks. It can also be used with Maxi-Cosi capsule car seats and comes complete with the lightweight Mico 30 infant car seat, stay-in-car base, and a reversible car.

It's a breeze to maneuver, and the one-hand reclining of the seat as well as the huge shopping basket make it easy for parents to get their child in and out quickly. Despite being narrow, the pushchair handled the everyday bumps well and slid through doors without a hitch.

The front wheels are able to be locked in a forward position or swivel. This is useful in rough terrain. We allowed the front wheels to rotate on our walk along an uneven path. It handled the situation well, though it did seem a little more bumpy.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is famous for their 3-wheeler, all-terrain pushchairs for best single jogging stroller, but they also make a good range of 4-wheeler strollers. The City Tour 2 is one of their most sought-after models. It is easy to fold and can fit into the boot of a car even with an attached carrycot.

It's a bit heavier than other strollers that we test, but the wheels are a rubber composite so it feels well-made and sturdy. It maneuvers expertly across different types of terrain. It's easy to move, even when loaded with two kids and a shopping bag.

The carrycot and the seat both have hoods with pull-down UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are durable and waterproof, unlike other hoods for prams, which can be blown back onto toddlers faces.

It does not have much storage space, but it comes with an ample basket that is deep enough to hold a change bag or plenty of groceries. You can also use it with a Baby Jogger car seat for babies who weigh 20 pounds or less (car seat and adapters are available separately). The City Tour 2 is a good choice if you want to take a stroller with you on the go.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was an infant stroller that captivated the hearts of a lot of parents when it first appeared. It's an aluminium framed stroller that will see you through your baby's early days and beyond. It's got a lot of standout features, such as the capacity of the seat to be flipped between the front facing parent and the outside as well as a large UPF50+ canopy with a flip-out eyeshade, and an adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are strong and filled with foam, which reduces the risk of punctures. The chassis also has built-in suspension that eases the pain of bumpy terrain. Our test driver found it easy to push and was able to manoeuvre it through narrow streets without difficulty.

It also comes equipped with the ability to add a car seat and a carrycot using the included adaptors. The brakes are easy to use with single push chair action, colour coded and flip-flop compatible.

This budget pushchair is simple to use and has a fantastic dual suspension. It folds by one hand and comes with a handy carrying strap. It's also very light and durable. The seat can be reclined in many positions and comes with a built-in double-breathable mattress that can be used from birth.

The canopy/seat has two extra-large fixed or flip-out sun visors, both of which are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn’t ideal as it’s not as quiet as Velcro, and can awaken napping babies.

The Duet is an angled stroller that can be used by twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It's compatible with two infant car seats and works with a few carrycots. In twin mode the seats can face each other or rotate around to face their parents, potentially cutting down on sibling fights over who should sit with mom and dad. It comes with a huge gear tray as well as a bottle holder and snack tray. It also has an automatic frame lock and a superior compact fold.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2

The Thule Urban Glide 2 is a jogger for parents who love to be active. It's one of the lightest strollers that you can buy for your child. It folds down compactly and takes about 5-10 minutes to put together with no tools. The instruction manual is simple to understand and includes multiple languages.
